What We Do
Ontario’s potato farms comprise roughly 38,000 acres and $100M in annual crop value. With increasing focus on environmental sustainability and more than half of these farms utilizing some level of irrigation, growers need modern, easy-to-use management tools for usage of water and other resources.
ONpotatoes.ca addresses this challenge by combining environmental sensing, mathematical modelling, crop production science and interactive web technologies into a powerful informational and decision-making resource. - P-Days: daily map of accumulated physiological growing days
- Weather: daily map of area rainfall amounts for each day this season
- Late Blight: daily map of disease severity values
- Evapotranspiration (ET): daily map of evapotranspiration levels
- Last 24 Hours: rainfall map of just the last 24 hours ending 11:00 AM
